NusPARC Dance Company (NDC) proudly presents a Dance Film entitled Chura’ Iban: A Dance Journey.

Chura’ Iban

Chura’ Iban is a dance kaleidoscope conceptualised by Iban choreographers who explore new choreographies based on traditional dances of the Dayak-Iban. Chura’, or colours in Iban language, portrays the myriad representations of traditional and contemporary choreographies, interpreting cultural practices through a journey of dance, music and sounds. This mixed bill performance of four new works by dance undergraduate Iban choreographers expounds the collective memories of the heritage and traditions of the Iban diaspora. It is a journey that recollects the memories of Iban life celebrated though dance.
